Holdem indicator is online software that calculates poker odds. You will have to pick a game table manually and then you apply the Holdem Indicator software to it. From there you will start to glean all kinds of information that you are going to need to play your game and work with your strategy.   

 What I like about Holdem Indicator…   

• To begin with, it will give me the calculations on the winnings. It will be able to give me the odds on my post flop and takes into account the pocket cards as well as the community cards and other factors to glean this information. It is based on the assumption that all players remain in the game until the hand closes and this could make the results a little less accurate. However, you will still have enough information that will tell you the strength of what your hand is beginning with.   

• It will determine your pot for you and this is done by determining the ratio of money that is in the pot and then gives a comparison of how much money is going to be required to call. Therefore, the outcome is the higher the ratio then you are given better odds.  You also get to know what the opponents hands are stipulating for showdown. It will give you the probabilities that you need and your opponents as well.       

• Another great feature about this software is it will give you the expected value of your hole cards. What this is based on is the number of big bets that may take place or an average of them during that particular hand.  This will help when you are in the flop and it will help you to improve your hand. With the Holdem Indicator, you will be able to see what the total of them are. In addition to this, you will have the information concerning your position and this is important for your position after the flop.  

What I don't like about the Holdem Indicator…

• Is the assumption mentioned earlier that all players remain in the game. It can make for less accurate results. Results you may be using to base your decisions on.

  There is no doubt that you are going to find a great deal of information with Holdem Indicator and if you are new to the game of poker, much of it may not make any sense to you in the beginning. Give yourself time to learn the game and learn what the information that Holdem Indicator is giving you means. All of the information that you receive is important to creating better skills for your game.  

Ultimately, what you must remember though is that it is you that is playing the game and not the software. You may wonder why one would use all this type of information when playing a simple game of poker. The reason being is that poker success depends a great deal on strategy. All of the information that you are receiving is various sectors of the strategies that are being applied by the opponents you are up against. In most cases, they are probably doing it manually although they too may have the Holdem Indicator or other types of poker calculators.
